Updates - What's been going on medically? Esophageal Manometry

Welcome, grab some tea and sit a spell. Let me start by saying this is an update post, so if you aren't interested in my on-going health-care issues and what not, you may want to just skip this.
It's been about 9 months since all of my medical issues have started, and I would love to say they finally figured out what is wrong with  me, but unfortunately that would be a lie. I think they are getting closure, so fingers crossed.

Health and Happiness - Trying Not To Lose My Damn Mind

Hello dears and darlings, love and lovers. This is going to to be a little update post. Mostly this is going to start out as a rant, but believe me it does have a way of coming back around.

So, I've been a relatively healthy person most of my life. No major catastrophes, nothing needing hospitalization, mostly just the run of the mill illnesses treated with OTC meds or the occasional prescription.

Unfortunately, I've not been so lucky the last few months. In December, what started out as mild infection turned into a visit to a Urgent care, then the ER on Christmas Eve, and then back to my regular Dr. for two more visits. All because of an allergic reaction to sulfadrug antibiotic I've been on before.

2017 - A Welcome and a Wish

Welcome to a new year! Wow, I can honestly say I am so glad for 2016 to be over. On a the world stage, last year was filled with triumphs, setbacks and disappointments. Here in the USA, politics dominated and their unrelenting presence left many burdened and weary. Although the plight of the world is important as we are all in this together, 2016 left me withdrawn. On a personal level, the first half started out so well, but the last half was a true cluster. I'm going to start this off with sadness, the wheel turns and we experience the great heights and lows of this life. I'm in a low, but I have great hopes for fortune to swing upwards again.

Business Trip across the Pond!

I can't believe how neglectful I've been on this blog. Truly, it's a shame. In trying to get back to this, and other things that make me happy, I'll try to get a few new posts up a month.

Anyways....

Last November, my husband got a message from his boss saying he may have an opportunity to get to do some training in England. Needless to say, I was so thrilled and we started making tentative plans just in case he got to go.
Well jump forward a few months, and he gets the green light for the training!

I have to say I've wanted to visit the UK since I was a little girl, and I will admit I am a huge anglophile.

Book Review No. 12 "Remember the Stars"

It has been far to long since I updated this blog. I suppose I will write an update on life soon, but for now I want to share a book review of short novella by a fantastic author Natalie-Nicole Bates.

"Remember the Stars" if a dark story featuring a young woman lost in a dark, unforgiving place of memory. Having no recollection how she arrived, she seeks shelter from a mysterious man who reluctantly helps her.

It is a short novella, so I don't want to give too much away, but it was a fantastic read. Love how the author describes the darkened world, fantastic literary imagery. And although it is short, the characters have depth and personality.

I highly recommend this novella, and all the other works by this up-and-coming paranormal romance writer. Love Natalie-Nicole Bates work!

Here is a link on amazon for the book.

And a link to her blog.
